I'll admit it...

I never thought it would happen.
I was so adamant about the subject before.
Look, don't touch was my rule for people.

But now....well, my standards have changed.
Yeah, it is true.
I've converted.
Just call me Tiggie, the Faithful Orange Lapsitting Cat.
Have lap, will purr.

Tiggie, you have gotten lazy living in the highrise. . .this will not do, come quickly to the farm, we have varmints that need attention. . .and since our beloved Otis has passed on. . . things are showing up in strange places. . ..got your passport in order? I'll meet you at the gate.
PS .. we have a fireplace and there are a few mice left in the barn.

That is a very good motto, Tiggie. We lapsit and purr quite often. You will get acustomed to it.

Tiggie you are a slow learner. I caught on to lap sitting and purring when I was still a small kitten. My humans were putty in my hands from then on. They will continue letting me sleep on their laps long after their legs have gone to sleep. But they will suffer because they say I am so cute while sleeping
and they don't want to disturb me. I know you can say I'm spoiled... but so be it...life is good! Your Uncle Rufus

Hi Tiggie, I was feral once too and now I love my Dad's lap. I'm glad you are now converted!

Whoa! That's something I've never done, and I don't plan to start. I'm almost 10 years old, and I know good things can't come out of lap-sitting.

(Or perhaps you've become just a bit addled and think maybe Bernie is a tree?)

Tiggie, we all do this. A warm lap is a great thing. Snuggling with people makes them happy and their bodies are warm. Works out well.

You'll probably get all sorts of fancy treats for being a "sweet" cat, too. You are very wise.
